The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified Monday a mother and her teen daughter who were shot and killed last week in Louisville’s Portland neighborhood.

A $1 million bond was set Wednesday for a man charged with fatally shooting a mother and her 14-year-old daughter Tuesday in Louisville's Portland neighborhood.

The shooting occurred in the 1600 block of Garland Avenue just before 10 p.m.

Darien McGary and Rodshad Bowser-Highsmith are charged with two counts of complicity to murder and two counts of complicity to robbery after the victims were gunned down in July 2023.
