LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The trial for two men accused in a fatal double shooting at the Waffle House in Radcliff three years ago got underway Monday.Â
Darien McGary and Rodshad Bowser-Highsmith are both charged with two counts of complicity to murder and complicity to robbery in the deaths of 18-year-old Shane Estrada and 30-year-old Carlos Bello. The two were found shot to death around 4 a.m. July 22, 2023, in the parking lot of the Waffle House on South Dixie Boulevard.Â
Police said Bowser-Highsmith was caught on surveillance video talking to someone about taking a gun from one of the victims. According to court documents, he later admitted he was involved in the crime.
Bowser-Highsmith and McGary remain jailed at the Hardin County Detention Center on $500,000 bonds.Â
