LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville man was found guilty of helping shoot his half-brother to death in 2023.

Corionte Fant was initially arrested in connection with a homicide that took place in the Jacobs neighborhood on May 3, 2023.

A Jefferson County jury on Friday found Fant guilty of complicity to murder and complicity to wanton endangerment.

The shooting took place in the 2400 block of Nichols View Court near Jacob Elementary School. Jo'Cori Harris Jr., 30, died at the hospital following the shooting.

Court documents state Fant, along with another person, shot the victim multiple times and there was video surveillance recovered from a home that recorded them discussing their plans leading up to the homicide.

Jo'Cori Harris Sr., who is the victim's father, has a pretrial conference scheduled for Feb. 5, 2026 in connection to the shooting.

Fant has been scheduled to be sentenced on March 4, 2026.
