A federal judge dismissed a U.S. Department of Justice lawsuit Thursday, ruling Kentucky does not have to release its unredacted voter registration records.
The most controversial issue is Amendment 2, also known as the School Choice amendment.
The deadline to register is Monday, Oct. 7, in both Kentucky and Indiana.
After a two-year investigation, the state Ethics Commission found Alison Lundergan Grimes violated state law.
The election is in May.
