Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Aaron Ellis said the crash occurred at 9:56 p.m. at the 7.2 mile marker.

Louisville Metro Police officers were called to a multi-vehicle crash in the 10300 block of Preston Highway at Maple Spring Drive just after 8 p.m. Dec. 26.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the two victims as Gary Wright, 77, of Owensboro, and Tami Jo Hawkins, 63, of West Point.

Louisville police said four vehicles were involved in the crash spanning both directions, killing two people.

A woman died after crashing into two parked vehicles early Sunday morning in Louisville's Portland neighborhood.

TRIMARC reported the multi-vehicle crash happened at 2:02 p.m. at mile marker 35.9 near I-71. 

Two adults were taken to the hospital after the crash. Police believe their injuries are non-life-threatening.

All lanes of Interstate 64 west at Eastwood Fisherville Road are blocked after the roadway iced over.
