LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Five people were taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 265 in east Jefferson County Sunday afternoon, according to Louisville Metro Police.
All southbound lanes of the Gene Snyder Freeway were shutdown for more than an hour after the crash happened at 2:02 p.m. at mile marker 35.9 near I-71. LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said a Ford Expedition involved in the crash rolled over.
Five people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash happened about a mile from Wolf Pen Branch Road. TRIMARC estimated the highway would be closed for at least an hour.
LMPD's 8th Division is investigating the crash.
