Thousands of fans will begin flocking to the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Exposition Center next Thursday, Sept. 19, for the first of two weekends of music.

The fair expects to draw around 600,000 visitors this year for the annual summer celebration that features fair food, music, exhibits, concerts and other entertainment.

Powerful storms moved through Kentuckiana early Wednesday, snapping trees and utility poles, and flooding some roads. Another round of storms is expected during morning drive.
