A 20-year-old Louisville man who died in a crash on Dixie Highway Monday evening has been identified by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.

A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash in the Algonquin neighborhood early Friday, according to Louisville Metro Police.

The nearly $14 million project, known as the 31-W Rehab Project, started up again Monday night.
Louisville Metro Police said a drunk driver tried to make an abrupt u-turn that resulted in an accident. A separate car then crashed into a ditch while trying to avoid the first accident.
The project is intended to extend the life of the 59-year-old bridge that carries six lanes of traffic over the Ohio River, connecting Louisville and New Albany.
