A student was arrested after a fight broke out on a school bus in the St. Matthews area, police say.
Last year, lawmakers passed $17.1 million to renovate the old building into a modern, safe juvenile detention center.

From reopening the Juvenile Detention Center in Louisville, to increased mental health care for kids in the system, the measures in the two bills would bring big investments to the juvenile justice system if signed into law.
This comes after several issues at juvenile facilities, including two recent attacks at the Warren County center and issues at the facility in Adair County.
The situation was quickly resolved without any force and none of the juveniles were injured, according to KSP.
The Campbell Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Newport, Kentucky, will transform into a 35-bed female-only juvenile detention center, Gov. Andy Beshear announced Thursday.
Mayor Greg Fischer cited "rapid revenue growth and continued efficiencies" when announcing the surplus.
The center would be state-run and maintained by the Department of Juvenile Justice.
There were no injuries during the incident.
