Three fire departments have partnered to launch a full-time engine company, improving emergency response along KY 44 and Bells Mill Road.

In its 29th year, this year's theme is Honoring Our Heroes, which includes both the military and first responders.

This year's truck theme is still a secret, but includes more than 76,000 LED lights held together with at least 15,000 zip ties.

Firefighters are facing more challenges while fighting fires now that there's colder weather.

The state will be replacing the big bridge and the project is expected to take months to complete.

Starting Nov. 30, the Santa Truck will travel through the Zoneton community for 14 days with the big man himself, Santa Claus, joining them on their holiday journey.

The $1.4 million expansion started in 2022 with the goal of helping firefighters get to emergencies faster. 

The department hopes the truck will be finished by May.
