LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville's Lynn Family Stadium will host a high-profile international soccer match Saturday, July 26, when English Premier League side Aston Villa faces Bundesliga power Eintracht Frankfurt at 7 p.m.

It will mark the first visit to Louisville by a Premier League club, with Aston Villa bringing a roster that features England international Ollie Watkins, World Cup-winning goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez of Argentina, and European mainstays like Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford. The club recently secured a top-six finish in England's top flight and qualified for next season's UEFA Europa League.

Eintracht Frankfurt, meanwhile, returns to Louisville for a second straight summer following a third-place finish in Germany's Bundesliga and a Champions League berth for the upcoming season. The squad includes French striker Hugo Ekitike, U.S. veteran Timothy Chandler, and 2014 World Cup hero Mario Götze.

Louisville | Kentucky | Indiana | Bozich & Crawford

Tickets are on sale now via LynnFamilyStadium.com/friendly, SeatGeek, or by calling (502) LOU-CITY.

The match is part of a larger series of summer friendlies at Lynn Family Stadium. A three-match "Global Games Bundle" — starting at $88 — offers admission to:

July 12: LouCity vs. Spain's CD Leganés

July 26: Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Aston Villa

July 29: LouCity vs. Eintracht Frankfurt

The bundle includes a collectible scarf (for purchases made by June 24), a $10 food and drink voucher for the Aston Villa-Frankfurt match, and a chance to win a signed Frankfurt jersey. LouCity and Racing Louisville season ticket holders receive a 25% discount on individual tickets.

CD Leganés, coming off a memorable LaLiga season that included wins over Barcelona and Atlético Madrid, also joins the slate. The Spanish side reached the Copa del Rey quarterfinals before falling to Real Madrid in stoppage time.

The 15,000-seat Lynn Family Stadium, located in Louisville's Butchertown neighborhood, has become a destination for top-level soccer since opening in 2020. In addition to hosting Louisville City FC and Racing Louisville FC, it has welcomed the U.S. Women's National Team, the NCAA Men's College Cup, and elite club teams from Europe as part of The Women's Cup.
