LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Another standout performance on the football field has earned a high school football player some acknowledgement.Â
With an overwhelming lead, Providence running back Kalen Sipes is the WDRB Sports Player of the Week for Week 7.Â
On Friday, Sipes juked out a defender and turned on the burners for an 89-yard touchdown, leading the Providence Pioneers over Indianapolis Scecina Memorial, 51-7.Â
Here's how the voting broke down:
- Sipes: 56.4%
- Donovan Taylor, Floyd Central wide receiver: 23.5%
- Cortez Ricketts, Valley wide receiver: 20.1%
