LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana University big man Kel'El Ware is taking his talents to South Beach. The 7-foot sophomore was taken with the No. 15 pick in the NBA Draft by the Miami Heat.
He'll join a Miami roster looking to add interior depth with Bam Adebayo.
He's the fourth Indiana player taken in the first round since 2017.
"I'll bring whatever (Miami) needs me to bring," Ware said. "I'm just so grateful they picked me."
Ware, who was a second-team All-Big Ten pick by the media and third-team by the coaches, and was on the league's All-Defensive team. Ware averaged 15.9 points (58.6%), 9.9 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. .
