LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- After spending the past couple of days on the University of Louisville campus, Colorado guard J'Vonne Hadley said he has decided to play for Pat Kelsey's Cardinals next season.

He's the fourth player to commit since Kelsey took over Louisville's program just under three weeks ago. The story was first reported by Joe Tipton of On3Sports.

Hadley, a 6-foot-6-inch guard from St. Paul, Minnesota, spent a season at Indian Hills Community College before transferring in to Colorado in 2021. He has spent the past two seasons there, averaging 11.6 points and six rebounds a game last season. He was the Buffaloes' No. 4 scorer and No. 2 rebounder.

He shot 53.8% from the field and 41.1% (20-48) from 3-point range. He was an 84% shooter from the free-throw line.

For most of Hadley's college career, he was a crafty, blue-collar contributor at wing and has been described as a "do-everything" player. But last season at Colorado, he emerged as more of a scorer, and had 24 points in an overtime win at Washington. His offensive emergence helped Colorado to a 26-11 record and a trip to the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16.

His coach at Colorado, Tad Boyle, called Hadley both the "unsung hero" and "heart and soul" of his most recent team, according to The Denver Gazette. In the same story, Hadley called himself "a junkyard dog."

He will have one season of eligibility remaining.
