LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Racing Louisville midfielder Savannah DeMelo suffered an injury during Sunday's matchup with Seattle Reign.
The match was abandoned toward the end of the first half due to the injury.
DeMelo could be seen taking a seat on the pitch while under distress before the top half of her body collapsed backwards.
In a statement released by Racing on Sunday evening, DeMelo "received immediate on-field care from medical personnel, was stable and alert after the incident."
The club also said DeMelo was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
The game will be rescheduled and updates will be provided.
