LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A local baseball team is heading to state for the first time ever, and the whole town is celebrating with them.
The Spencer County High School baseball team left Friday morning for the first round of their state tournament.Â
The Taylorsville Fire Department hosted a sendoff to wish the boys luck.Â
The bus made it's way through Main Street, then followed the team to Shelbyville Road.Â
The entire baseball team, including the coach, dyed their hair to celebrate them going to state. Some kids in the crowd were so excited, they bleached their hair to match the team.
Spencer County High School plays Johnson Central at 8:30 p.m. Friday.Â
