LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- After losing its regular season finale to rival Kentucky, Louisville football dropped to No. 14 in the College Football Playoff rankings released Tuesday night.
The Cardinals (10-2) lost to Kentucky 38-31 on Saturday, dropping out of the Top 10 of the rankings. Louisville has two wins over ranked teams, No. 17 Notre Dame and No. 19 NC State.
Louisville is one of four ACC teams, Florida State (No. 4), NC State (No. 19) and Clemson (No. 23) that appears in the rankings.
Louisville plays Florida State in the ACC Championship game on Saturday in Charlotte.
The top four teams in the CFP poll are selected for college football's postseason playoff. Georgia, Michigan, Washington and Florida State are the first four teams ranked, respectively.
