LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The University of Louisville moved up four spots in the latest Associated Press Top 25, which was released on Sunday.
After defeated Virginia Tech 34-3 on Saturday at L&N Stadium, Louisville (8-1) jumped to No. 11 in the AP poll. The Cardinals are in sole possession of second place in the ACC with a 5-1 conference record.
Louisville can clinch a berth in the ACC Championship game with a win over Virginia on Thursday night, followed by a Duke victory over North Carolina over the weekend.
The ACC has three teams ranked in the poll, including No. 4 Florida State (9-0), No. 11 Louisville and No. 24 North Carolina (7-2).

Southern California dropped out of The Associated Press college football poll Sunday for the first time under coach Lincoln Riley and No. 15 Oklahoma State vaulted into the rankings for the first time this year.
The top nine teams in the Top 25 held their spots, led by No. 1 Georgia. The Bulldogs have now tied the second-longest streak atop the poll at 21 straight weeks, dating back to the middle of last season. The last time the first nine teams in the poll went unchanged this late in the season was Nov. 19, 2017.
