Tavon Parrish is accused of shooting and killing a man at the Thorntons gas station at the corner of South 1st Street and West Broadway, on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Parrish, a security guard, said he confronted the victim for stealing a can of beer, then pulled out his gun and shot him because he thought he wanted to fight.

According to court records from Indiana and Kentucky, he is accused of having a firearm in two separate instances.
David K. Dickson, 36, died in a shooting at Thornton's gas station on South 1st Street and West Broadway on June 12. Tavon Parrish, 31, pleaded not guilty to murder after the shooting.
