“Having outside help is going to speed that process up, and I am not willing to wait any longer for us to be able to do it internally,” Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said Monday.
Accounting firm Ernst and Young began work this week to help Kentucky resolve tens of thousands of backlogged unemployment claims under a contract that some lawmakers criticize for its hefty price tag -- $7.6 million for 26 days of work – and lack of competitive award.
