Bill Lamb
About
Bill Lamb is the president and general manager of WDRB and WMYO in Louisville and the vice president of Broadcast Operations for Block Communications, Inc., overseeing eight television stations. He is thrilled to back at WDRB Media and Block Communications.
Lamb may be best known for creating Point of View editorials in 2002. In 2018 was inducted into the Kentucky Broadcaster’s Hall of Fame. After 17 years, Lamb left Louisville in 2019 to run the TV stations owned and operated by the Fox Network in Los Angeles, KTTV and KCOP. He stayed for three years before retiring back to Louisville in 2022. “I wasn’t very good at retirement,” Lamb said. “I watched the deer in my backyard and thought we have much in common. We wake up, forage for food, and try not to get killed! Returning to WDRB Media is a much more productive and interesting use of my energy!”
For nine consecutive years under his leadership, WDRB/WMYO was named "One of the Best Places to Work in Kentucky" by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Lamb said, “One of my goals is for WDRB Media to be one of the best places to work for another nine years!”
