The University of Louisville has accepted the resignation of Vice President of intercollegiate athletics Vince Tyra, and the decision is considered final, a university spokesman acknowledged on Thursday.
Tyra, a former executive at apparel-maker Fruit of the Loom and holding company Houchens Industries, led the U of L athletics department from 2018 to 2021.
On Thursday, Vince Tyra said goodbye to the people he worked with at the headquarters of Gildan Activewear Inc. in Montreal, Canada.
