CLERMONT, Ky. (WDRB) -- Bernheim Forest's annual BugFest gets you closer to the insect kingdom.

BugFest allows you to have all sorts of fun discovering insects and their relatives.

Celebrate our six and eight-legged friends with the Parade of Bugs, bug safaris, Insect Zoo, and much more.

You will appreciate the role of insects in our lives and their contribution to the ecosystem.

Activities include:

  • Meet Kevin Weiner, the creator of "All Bugs Go to Kevin", along with his bug friends

  • Go on a Bug Safari offered at various times throughout the day

  • Enjoy a lively Bug Concert with Mr. Dan

  • Turn your fears into fascination by meeting native insects and invertebrates

  • Get creative with bug-themed crafts

  • Spark curiosity and wonder with hands-on exploration

  • Enjoy a “buggy” story time in the Edible Garden

  • Dress up as your favorite critter and march in the Bug Parade at 1:30 p.m.
