Downtown Pickleball Street Fest finds a new location in Louisville

LOUISVILE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Pick up a paddle and prepare to play some pickleball in downtown Louisville.

WDRB's Keith Kaiser learns more about the Downtown Pickleball Street Fest.

It's the 2nd annual event to celebrate the beloved sport of Pickleball and the downtown Louisville culture.

The Louisville Downtown Partnership and Goodbounce Pickleball Yard will help transform East Main Street between S. Jackson & Hancock streets into an outdoor Pickleball venue, featuring 12 Pickleball courts for competitive tournaments and open play opportunities, live entertainment by DJ Ace, a variety of food trucks, a pop-up bar with local beer – including Downtown’s Beer – from Ten20 Craft Brewery, and a specialty Angel’s Envy bar.

Inside the distillery there will be yard games and specialty Peach Smash cocktails, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Tournament participants can enter either beginner or intermediate brackets, divided by women’s, men’s, or mixed teams.

Tournament & Open Play | 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
