NEW ALBANY, In. (WDRB) -- Indiana University Southeast presents their latest musical production, Bright Star.

WDRB's Keith Kaiser joined the cast before another weekend of performances.

Indiana University Southeast Theatre has returned to a full performance schedule at the Paul W. Ogle Cultural & Community Center on the IUS campus.

Their spring production takes you back to the early 1900's with Bright Star.

Inspired by a true story and featuring the Tony-nominated score by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, Broadway’s Bright Star tells a tale of love and redemption set in the American South in the 1920s and ’40s.

Literary editor Alice Murphy meets a young soldier just home from World War II.

Their connection sends Alice on a journey to understand her past.

Beautiful melodies and moving characters take you on an uplifting theatrical journey.
