LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A woman was shot Monday night in an apparent attempted murder-suicide in Hardin County.
According to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 75 block of Battle Drive in Elizabethtown for a reported "active domestic disturbance."
Deputies said they heard a single gunshot coming from inside the home. A woman then exited the home with a gunshot wound to the chest, according to deputies.
After searching the home, deputies said they found a man who was dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The woman was taken to a local hospital and later released. The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating.
