NEW ALBANY, In. (WDRB) - Two big festivals are coming together in New Albany!
WDRB's Keith Kaiser learns more about the Monarch Festival at Art on the Parish Green.
Two different events produced by The Arts Alliance of Southern Indiana and St. Paul's Episcopal Church combine into a grand outdoor celebration this year.
The free event will feature an inclusive Regional Arts Festival, live entertainment and musicians, food trucks, local beer and wine, kids activities, and a butterfly experience.
With the success of the past events, they expect to draw more than 14,000 attendees promising more artists, more food, more music, and more fun.
The event is hosted by St. Paul, the first Episcopal congregation in the state of Indiana, established in 1834.
The AASI promotes the arts in Clark, Floyd, and Harrison counties through partnerships with individuals, groups, and businesses.
AASI has hosted the Monarch Festival in different locations throughout Southern Indiana each year since 2010.
All proceeds from Monarch Festival at Art on the Parish Green supports programs and activities by St. Paul's and the AASI.
