LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Southern Indiana FC is planning to start its inaugural season later this month.
Players Kenney Walker and Nkosi Graham joined WDRB Mornings on Tuesday to talk about their upcoming season and what fans can expect.
The team is based in United Premier Soccer League's Tennessee region, so they will be playing several teams in Tennessee and Georgia. They won't be playing many teams close by, with the closest game scheduled about an hour away.
Former college players, professional players, overseas players and even a few high school players make up the team.
"It would be great to have traveling supporters and what not," Walker said. "But I think, for us as a club, it would be awesome to build the home atmosphere and environment."
The team kicks off their season on April 7, but the first opportunity for fans to come watch the team is at 7 p.m. Mar. 23 at Green Valley Complex, where the team will hold an intra-squad scrimmage.
