LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- New Albany native Alexis Lete, who goes by Lete, made it to the final two on 'Deal or No Deal Island,' but in the final episode it was revealed she did not win.

The reality competition show on NBC is a spin-off of Deal or No Deal, but mixed with challenges like Survivor and mental games with competitors like Big Brother.

Thirteen competitors are on a private island and compete against each other for more than $200 million in prize money.

Lete was valedictorian at New Albany High School and went on to play Division 1 volleyball at George Washington University. She won Miss Indiana USA in 2020 and finished third at Miss USA. Next, she became a WWE wrestler before focusing on becoming an artist.

Her run to win the final jackpot and play The Banker on the show was cut short when a previous ally backstabbed her and helped her competitor.

Lete joined WDRB+ Live at 10 a.m. Wednesday to reflect on her time on the show.

She said it was an incredible experience with a lot of life lessons, but most of all, she was reminded who her true friends are.

"As bitter as I am and as upset I am in the moment right now, about not walking away and winning millions of dollars on the show, I was reminded what true friendship looks like," she said. "I have been backstabbed like I was on the show before in real life, and these are my childhood friends that are hugging me, been friends for 20 years of my life, and that's something that's priceless."
