LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The latest in golf simulator technology makes its way to Louisville.
WDRB's Keith Kaiser gets in a couple of rounds at the brand new Tee It Up Golf USA.
The 9-bay golf simulator facility is powered by Golfzon Technology, the first-of-its kind in our region.
This technology allows players to choose from more than 200 virtual courses and play the ball as it truly lies.
Rather than a mat, there is a 24-position moving swing plate giving golfers a chance to hit uphill, downhill and sidehill like they would on a course.
The plate also has five different hitting surfaces, including two rough and two bunker surfaces to simulate those experiences.
High speed cameras capture 400 frames per second at the moment of impact, allowing golfers to see their shot on the screen instantly, as well as receive immediate feedback on their ball’s flight.
The auto tee technology lets golfers speed their game play and avoid the strain of bending over repeatedly.
The virtual caddie will recommend clubs for each shot and golfers can play in national tournaments with other participants around the country who are using Golfzon technology. Â
The family owned and operated golf experience also features a full bar and select food items.
Golf simulator bays can be reserved by the hour by an individual or group.
The facility will offer leagues, tournaments, special events and lessons with a PGA teaching professional.Â
Tee It Up Golf USA is jointly owned by Joel and Cindy Zipperle and Codey and Christina Zipperle.
