I know, summer is supposed to be hot. Just take it easy out there this weekend and get strenuous activies done in the morning if possible. The heat will get worse before getting better. After dealing with heat index values close to 110 Tuesday and Wednesday, I think we will all be looking for a break.

As we flip the calendar over from July to August, there is a consistent signal in the data showing a cool-down. A front arrives Thursday into Friday next week knocking temperatures into the upper 80's. On top of that, dew points fall into the 60's which makes the air far less stuffy. That means you need to hang in there for 6 more days before relief arrives.
