Since midnight, Louisville picked up a grand total of 4.22" of rain. That destroyed the record for the date (October 7th) which was 1.64" set back in 1955! Fairdale said "hold my beer" and ended up with 5.20" of rain which is just insane. The drought and burn bans are no longer an issue around the metro as the ground finally got a solid soaking...

These numbers should get your attention. On average, Louisville picks up 3.72" of rain during the entire month of October. That means if it didn't rain another drop this month, we would still end up above normal because Louisville picked up 4.22" in one day! It also claims a record for the 3rd rainiest October day ever recorded. Stay safe our there and please avoid flooded roads.Â
