High temperatures will move into the 50s for at least the next seven days, which is warmer than where we've been to start this week. It's also warmer than we should be this time of year, and the map above from the Climate Prediction Center shows those "warmer than normal" temperatures will likely stick around for the first half of February.

At this point in the year, high temperatures should be in the mid-40s with low temperatures in the upper 20s in our area. That's according to climatological normals. Instead we are looking at a week of highs in the mid-50s and lows in the middle and upper 30s. You can click here to look at our 7-day forecast. Early to mid-February is the time of year where these "averages" start to climb again, signaling warmer weather will soon return!
