In his annual State of the Commonwealth speech Wednesday evening, Beshear touted Kentucky’s record-setting pace of economic development he attributes to “pushing out that national noise” and finding common ground.
The event includes an interactive dialogue focused on U.S. policies from the perspective of governors.
The measure, which will lower the tax rate from 4% to 3.5% starting next year, sailed through the Republican-led Legislature in the first five days of its session.
