Kentucky Derby week is off to a grim start at Churchill Downs.
Churchill Downs will move the remainder of its spring meet to Ellis Park in Henderson, Kentucky, in response to a string of 12 horse deaths in 30 days at the historic racetrack.
Churchill Downs has indefinitely suspended Muth’s trainer, Bob Baffert, an extension of a two-year suspension for his actions and statements connected with the positive drug test that disqualified Medina Spirit from the 2021 Kentucky Derby.
