LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The weekend is upon us, and there are plenty of things to do and see across Kentuckiana.
Here are a selection of events, markets, concerts and more happening Friday, Aug. 1 to Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025.
Street Rod Nationals
The 56th annual Street Rod Nationals are rolling into Louisville this weekend at the Kentucky Exposition Center.
This is the 31st time the show has been held in Louisville, and is on tap to be held in the city until at least 2030.
The gathering features between 10,000 and 15,000 vintage automobiles, all together valued at more than $300 million dollars.
The Street Rod Nationals includes rides from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, all showing up from all over the country.
It's a family friendly attraction with several special ladies activities, stuff to keep kids busy, specialty manufacturers, several technical seminars and "Builder's Showcase."
The giant outdoor car show runs from Thursday, July 31 through Sunday, Aug. 3.
Ticket prices:
- $19 - 13-years and older
- $6 - Children 6- 12-years-old
- Children 5 and under are free when accompanied by an adult

Summer Made Market
The twice annual Made Market will return to Mellwood Art Center in Louisville on Saturday.
The traveling curated handmade market consists of more than 90 makers from Louisville and the surrounding regions.
The market takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mellwood Art Center on Mellwood Avenue.
The event costs $5 per person, and is free for kids 15 and younger. Parking is also free.
There will also be local food vendors on site, as well as a bar and coffee inside. Those include Juice Bar, Fistful of Ale, Gravely Brewing, Black Rock Grille, Bamboo, Mysa Coffee and BobaBun.

The Made Market comes to Louisville twice a year, once in the summer and once in late fall for the holiday season.

The Wiz
Ease on down the road to the Kentucky Center this weekend as the Tony Award-winning musical “The Wiz” lands in Louisville as part of its all-new pre-Broadway national tour.
This fresh revival of the iconic show—based on L. Frank Baum’s The Wizard of Oz—reimagines Dorothy’s journey with a soulful, funky twist. It’s the first major tour of The Wiz in 40 years, kicking off in the musical’s original hometown of Baltimore and now making a stop in Louisville.
The modern take on a Broadway classic includes unforgettable music and eye-popping visuals.
Audiences can expect a blend of soul, gospel, rock, and ‘70s funk, brought to life with legendary hits like “Ease on Down the Road” and “Home.”

The Venardos Circus
The Venardos Circus is back in Louisville for an extended stay with its all-new “Far Beyond” Tour on the Great Lawn at Waterfront Park.
This season, the cast will take audiences on a journey under the big top as it unveils a fresh, magical and all-new experience for fans. The show features an original score, amazing performers, stunning lighting, and dazzling costumes.
The Venardos Circus, a unique Broadway-Style Circus performance, has been touring the U.S. since its debut at the L.A. County Fair in 2014.
The circus performers also are the crew in this traveling tour, much like the original circus tradition.
There are no animals in Venardos Circus, but you can expect classic circus treats like fresh popcorn, cotton candy, house-made all-natural pink lemonade, nachos, hot dogs, packaged candy and more.
General Admission tickets start at $19 for kids under 12, and $31.33 for adults. One babe in arms is admitted free with each paying adult. Premium Reserved seating is available for premium pricing.
The Venardos Circus is in Louisville through Aug. 10.

Fox Fest 2025 ft. Nappy Roots
Get ready to turn up the volume this weekend at Fox Fest 2025, an all-day celebration of music, food, and community happening Saturday, Aug. 2 at The Fox Den on Frankfort Avenue.
Hip-hop legends Nappy Roots headline the high-energy event, which features a full lineup of regional rock, soul, and hip-hop artists including Softspoken, Foxbat, Throwback Thursday, Soul Circus, Ipcus Pinecone and more.
What to Expect:
- Live performances all day
- Street-style eats like Szechuan noodles, tacos, and grinders
- Cold drinks from sponsors like Fireball, Dan-O’s Seasoning, Miller Lite, and Red Bull
- Tickets: $20 (plus fees) in advance, $30 day of

- Doors open at 1 p.m.
