LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Buffalo Trace Distillery is once again raising a glass for a good cause.
The Kentucky distillery announced the return of its annual charitable initiative, "100 Bourbon Sets for 100 Charities." The program allows local nonprofit organizations the opportunity to get their hands on exclusive bourbon sets for fundraising efforts.
The initiative pays tribute to Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr., a former owner of Buffalo Trace Distillery and a key figure in modern bourbon history.
In its first year, "100 Bourbon Sets for 100 Charities" supported organizations from 36 states across the country, including 11 from Kentucky, and raised over $134,000 for causes including veteran's services, youth education, cancer treatment, and animal welfare.
This year, Buffalo Trace is aiming to extend its impact even further.
“It is incredible to see the work being done by nonprofit organizations around the country," Andrew Duncan, Global Brand Director of Buffalo Trace, said in a news release. "We believe Taylor would be proud to know his legacy continues to bring such a positive change to countless communities."
The bourbon sets will feature highly sought-after bottles from brands such as E.H. Taylor Jr., Blanton’s, Eagle Rare, and Weller. The number of bottles in each set may vary.
Applications are open now online. Nonprofits that are interested have 100 days - June 11, 2025 - to submit their applications.
