JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) -- Clark County is celebrating National Adoption Month by finalizing nearly one dozen adoptions Monday at the courthouse.
"It just makes your heart so happy to see so many kids and families being brought together in this process," said Claire Lorch Hagedorn, an attorney and foster parent.Â
The court said 11 adoptions were finalized Monday.Â
That included the Scott family.Â
"I feel like my heart is full and my family is complete now," said Sierra Scott, holding her son.
For National Adoption Month, this time is not only about finalizing adoptions, but also raising awareness about the need for adoptive and foster families.Â
