LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Hundreds of people around Louisville are advocating for the Junior League of Louisville's Little Black Dress Initiative this week.

Men and women both are wearing a black dress, or outfit, during the entire week to be donated to Dress for Success at the end of the week.

Dress for Success helps women become financially independent by providing support, professional clothes, and tools for personal and professional growth so they can succeed in their careers and lives.

By wearing the same outfit, they hope to illustrate how poverty limits people's choices and opportunities.

Our very own WDRB Mornings anchor Candyce Clifft is participating in the challenge, wearing the same black dress all week!

You can help by donating new or gently-worn professional clothing to one of the five Highland Cleaners locations in Louisville, or donate to the cause here.
