LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Friends of Jefferson County Public Law Library is restarting its expungement clinic.

JCPLL is hosting an intake clinic for its Fresh Start Expungement Program on Thursday, July 31, from 1-4 p.m. at 514 West Liberty Street, Suite 240 in Louisville.

Anyone with misdemeanors and class-D felonies older than five years can attend.

"Everyone makes mistakes in life," Amy Hilliard, director of JCPLL, said in a release. "Our expungement program offers those with a criminal record a fresh start."

The expungement clinic is funded by the Neighborhood Development Funds granted by the Louisville Metro Council, meaning more than 100 qualified Jefferson County residents can have their records cleared for free.

If you think you are eligible, call the Law Library at 502-574-5943 and provide your legal name, date of birth and phone number.
