LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kentuckiana Pride Foundation will celebrate its 25th anniversary and Pride Month with its annual festival and parade this weekend.

Kentuckiana Pride kicks off Saturday, June 21, at noon in NuLu with the Pride Parade.

The annual parade will begin on Market Street and Campbell Street, and then proceed west on Market Street to Preston Street. It will travel along Preston Street by Louisville Slugger Field and then down River Road before ending at the Big Four Lawn.

The festivities continue after the parade on the Big Four Lawn, near Waterfront Park, through 10 p.m.

The Kentuckiana Pride Foundation puts on the parade and festival every year, and will also celebrate its 25th anniversary.

Organizers joined WDRB Mornings Thursday to talk about the significance of the event this year.

"The atmosphere that we're living in today and the people, and the fundamental funding is being cut off as a result of that," Tim Weyrauch, with Kentuckiana Pride, said. "Because of that, the festival and the parade is a way to come together to celebrate, to bring community together, as well as to, hopefully, raise some money in the process to give back to this community."

Natasha Bedingfield is headlining the festival's concert this year. Other artists and performers include Saucy Santana, Tanner Adell, Grant Knoche, Molly Grace, GSP + Dan Slater, RELAAY and VOICES of Kentuckiana.

"RuPaul's Drag Race" stars Nina West and Naysha Lopez will also make special appearances.

Louisville drag queen and "RuPaul's Drag Race" alum Dusty Ray Bottoms will host, along with Kassandra Hylton and Leah Halston. DJs include DJ SpringBreak and DJ Scz.
