LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Driving while impaired is always a bad idea, so Louisville personal injury attorney Darryl Isaacs is giving away free Uber vouchers to make sure folks get a safe ride home on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

In a news release, Louisville's Isaacs & Isaacs Personal Injury Lawyers said it will provide free $20 Uber vouchers for safe rides home on New Year's Eve (Dec. 31) and New Year's Day (Jan. 1). "If you’re drinking on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day, don’t drive," Isaacs said in the release. "Take a ride and start the new year with good memories."

The vouchers -- available while supplies last -- can be downloaded all day on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 across Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio.

Here's how it works: download the Hammer Hub app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Then claim the free $20 Uber voucher inside the app (while supplies last).

If you plan to ring in the new year with a few adult beverages, the firm encourages people to not get behind the wheel. Claim your voucher early before they run out if you know you'll be impaired.

Isaacs said he knows how quickly life can change after an accident. He was seriously injured in 2015 when a vehicle hit him from behind while he was riding a bicycle.

In November, Isaacs & Isaacs paid for more than 500 rides during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend to help keep impaired drivers off the road. He has also offered vouchers for other holidays as well as Derby Day.
