LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Baseball fans and runners will soon have the chance to take a lap around the warning track at Slugger Field as the Louisville Bats bring back their annual 5K race.

The Louisville Bats announced the fourth annual Bats 5K will take place June 13 at Louisville Slugger Field.

The race begins at 8 a.m. and starts and finishes outside the stadium’s Witherspoon Street gate. Participants will complete the final quarter-mile of the race along the ballpark’s warning track. An awards ceremony will follow the race for top finishers.

Registration is open now. Entry costs $50 through June 12 and increases to $55 on race day.

Each registration includes:

  • Two vouchers for any remaining 2026 Bats home game
  • A finisher medal
  • A photo with Buddy Bat
  • Technical running socks

A family package for four is also available.

Walkers and strollers are allowed if participants can maintain a 20-minute-per-mile pace. Dogs will not be permitted inside the ballpark.

The Bats 5K is part of the 2026 River City Races Run the 502 series.
