LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Council is gathering food donations this holiday season.

The city council is supporting the Association of Community Ministries with a food drive that goes Nov. 20 to Dec. 11. According to a news release, Association of Community Ministries will distributed the donations to 13 community ministries in Louisville. 

The most needed donations are canned proteins, beef stew, canned chicken, canned tuna and hearty soups. Tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, canned potatoes and boxed potatoes are also needed.

There are donation drop-off locations around the city, including:

  • City Hall’s 1st Floor Lobby, 601 W. Jefferson Street, open for donations from Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
