Northwestern Parkway safety community input meeting 6-16-25

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky transportation officials are asking for the public's input to improve traffic safety in several Louisville neighborhoods.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will hold a public input meeting Nov. 20 to hear suggestions for improving traffic flow in the Portland and Shawnee neighborhoods, according to a news release. Specific areas to be addressed will include the Bank Street, Portland Avenue and Northwestern Parkway corridors, from 15th Street to the Shawnee Park Golf Course, in the Portland and Shawnee neighborhoods.

The meeting is scheduled for 4:30-6:30 p.m. in Lehmann Hall at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church at 3511 Rudd Ave.

Anyone interested is invited to take part to learn more about the study and provide input. 

After the meeting, an online survey will be available to gather more input.
