LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- South Oldham High School has begun a four-year construction project to modernize its facilities, expand capacity and replace aging areas of the school.
Crews broke ground on the project Tuesday. Construction is scheduled to run through summer 2029, according to the Oldham County Schools website.
The project will add space for 500 more students and includes a new classroom wing, career and technical education rooms, ELS and fine arts suites, a new auditorium, a two-story media center and an updated kitchen and cafeteria.
All classrooms will be upgraded, shared areas modernized, and the gymnasium renovated to meet the district’s current and future needs.
