LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — As several cities in our area light up Christmas trees and get in the holiday spirit, it was Valley Station's turn on Sunday.

The southwest Louisville community celebrated the season with Santa, Mrs. Claus and even the Grinch. There was also live music from the Gary Brewer Band and the Kentucky Ramblers.

In addition, lots of vendors lined the corner of Deering and Valley Station roads, to knocks some of that holiday shopping out along with food trucks and bouncy houses.

The night was capped off with the Christmas tree lighting.

"I have never seen anything like this, and it brings just joy and emotion to our hearts to see this community come together and be able to do something like this," Khalil Batshon, Louisville Metro Councilman, D-25, said.

This was the fourth annual Light up Valley Station event.
