LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A winner has been announced in the "HGTV Urban Oasis 2023" home giveaway.
Phyliss Jackson-Polk of New Orleans is the winner of the newly-built and fully-furnished home in Louisville's Paristown Pointe neighborhood near the Highlands.
In addition to the home, Jackson-Polk will receive a new Mercedes Benz, a $50,000 check and a five-year supply of Viva paper towels, a prize package worth more than $850,000.
"I never thought this would happen to me," Jackson-Polk, who has been entering the home giveaways for years, told HGTV. "I thought it was a prank until I saw Brian at my door. Tears started rolling down my face because it was just so surreal that this was actually happening to me."
The bungalow-style home features four bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. It was built by Twin Spires Remodeling, and designed to capture the culture and heritage of Louisville.
