LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Shawnee Park has been transformed into a Winter Wonderland for the weekend.
This is the second year for the drive-through holiday experience. Visitors will find 200,000 LED lights making up the festive displays.
The Winter Wonderland is put on by OneWest, a local nonprofit focused on bringing commercial development to west Louisville.
"The west end does not have some of the holiday activities that we see around the rest of the city, and we really wanted to bring that same opportunity and that spirit of festivity here and to the west end," said Evon Smith, OneWest president and CEO.
The event runs from 6-10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Organizers said guests can expect to see several surprises, along with live musical performances and appearances by Santa.
