152nd Kentucky Derby and Oaks Glasses

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Churchill Downs unveiled the official Mint Julep glasses and artwork for the 152nd Kentucky Derby and Oaks, all designed by a Kentucky artist.

Grayson Reynolds' official "Art of the Kentucky Derby" features five Thoroughbreds leaving the starting gate beneath the Twin Spires.

"I’m incredibly honored to be named the first-ever artist to design both the Kentucky Derby art and julep glass," Reynolds said in a news release Wednesday. "As a native Kentuckian, traditions of the Derby have been part of my story growing up, and I’m excited to share my work with the world."

On the annual Mint Julep glass, three horses race surrounded by roses. As is customary, the names of every Kentucky Champion from 1875 to 2025 adorns the back of the glass, which is a collector's item for many in Louisville and around Kentucky.

“We are thrilled to showcase Grayson as the first Art of the Kentucky Derby artist to also design the official julep glass – two iconic traditions united by her artistry,” Megan App, director of licensing at Churchill Downs Racetrack, said in a news release. “Her work captures the emotion and excitement of The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports®.”

Reynolds will will sign prints of her artwork at Churchill Downs from 2-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28. To purchase glasses or prints, click here.
